Often times, the Bible speaks about eating together as the true test of community. Whether you are willing to sit at a table with an enemy, whether you accept an invitiation to dinner and whether you ingest the word of God as eagerly as you fill your stomach are all tests of your relationship with God and others. Most importantly, however, the Bible emphasizes feeding the hungry and caring for the needy as the practical implication of loving God and loving others. Your neighbors in your backyard and all over the world are hungry. So who have you fed lately?
