Bible & Bread

At First Church of God, we're committed to growing together as a community. That's why we offer our Wednesday night family ministry: Bible & Bread. Bible & Bread is an intentional intergenerational ministry that allows opportunities for entire families to come to the church on Wednesday nights and learn with their own peer groups. Bible & Bread includes a time of sharing a meal together before we break off into our small groups. It provides us all with an opportunity to grow in our faith.

From August to June, Bible & Bread is offered every Wednesday night during the school year from 6-9 PM at the church building. Make sure to check the church calendar for updates and cancellations.

The first and last Wednesday nights of each month are special. The first Wednesday night of each month is an Event Night - with everything from concerts to worship times to hayrides to service projects. Our goal is to get maximum interaction from these events to bring the community together. The last Wednesday night of each month is a God's Kids Night. That means there's additional programming for children, including nursery and preschool-5th grade activities.

What does a typical Bible & Bread schedule look like?
A typical Bible & Bread night schedule looks like this:
6:00-6:30 PM: Sharing a meal together (usually pizza from Mancino's)
6:30-7:30 PM: Small groups meet and nursery is offered
8:00-9:00 PM: Worship Team practice

What is Bible & Bread:Home Edition?

Bread & Bible:Home Edition is a home-based Bible Study offered on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th (if necessary) weeks of the month, specifically targeting parents with children or those who work on Wednesday nights and may find it easier to participate in a home-based Bible Study.
