Sunday Mornings
At 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings, we meet to worship God together. We sing songs, read Scripture, listen to practical teachings from the Bible, spend time in prayer and develop friendships with other believers and seekers. This is a time of rejoicing, reflection and praise to the God who created the universe and everything in it!.
Sunday Nights
On alternating Sunday nights, the Men's and Women's Bible Studies get together at 6:00 pm for an in-depth discussion around the Bible. The women, led by Michelle Cooper, meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, while the men, led by Mike Simmons, get together on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. For those with children, this allows for both men and women to participate, without the need for outside babysitting.
Our Student Ministries meet during this same time period downstairs.
Pastor Matt and his team lead the youth in music, games, and a discussion
centered around the Bible. Grades 6 through 12 are welcome and encouraged to
bring their friends, as outreach is emphasized to our students as an important
part of reaching the world for Christ.
Wednesday Nights
On Wednesday evenings at 6:00, we gather together to share a meal, then study God's Word in a small group setting. We call this gathering Midweek Bible Study. Pastor Bob takes us through an open discussion of a specific book of the Bible, taking our time with each verse in an attempt to uncover the hidden "gems" of insight found in the Scripture.
A children's activity is available downstairs, so parents can feel free to attend the Bible study without concern over getting a sitter for the evening or having dinner prepared before the family comes to the church building. We want to eliminate any obstacle that keeps you or your family from participating in all that First Church offers. Please let us know how we can assist you!
Prayer Times
Prayer is greatly emphasized here at First Church. We offer three (3) specific times weekly for corporate prayer, with other options opening up as the need arises. Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30 are a great way to start your day, praying alongside others as we bring our requests before God. In addition, we offer a Midday Prayer time on Wednesdays at noon. This is a come-and-go quiet time that you can access on your lunch hour for our local workers and retirees. Please make a point to join us at one or more of these times, as we intercede for our families, our community, our nation and our world.
